I am a minimalist at heart, however, I love to add a little “statement” to my minimal style. A fancy bag, some trendy shoes or a lot of statement jewelry; anything to heighten my minimal fashion look. This fall fashion cycle doesn’t disappoint. While wearing my classic minimal “uniform” I get to experiment with the latest trends that are hitting the runway. With my brown and green color palette, I can add a leopard coat or shoes, a trendy wool hat and a statement necklace.  With my black dress, I can add some stylish trouser socks and some rockin’ killer platform shoes. I am so excited about experimenting with the latest trends this winter.

If you want to become a minimalist and make an investment in your wardrobe instead of succumbing to every trend and fashion whim that is created by designers each season, here is how you start:

1.  Always have these colors in your wardrobe: black, white, grey, beige, brown, and navy blue.

2. Buy a lot of separates so that you can mix and match.

3. Buy clothes with clean lines, not that much frill and complexity to them

4. Look for statement pieces. They may cost more but they will pay off in the long run.

If you do this, you will only have to buy key trendy items each year to look fashion forward. Just the other day I literally went shopping in my closet…I looked for things I had stored away because they were not in style anymore; but they were classic items that I paid a pretty penny for. Once I was done searching through my collection, I found, 2 capes, 2 pairs of wide leg jeans and 3 A-lined skirts (60’s trend).  I would never throw these pieces away because I know that fashion always repeats and because they good quality pieces can be preserved for a long time. In fact, I have had them for over 8 years now.

So if you are look for classic style and a way to get more bang for your buck…Minimalism is the answer! Happing hunting!

Sephora is definitely my top trendsetter today! I know the title of this article kind of through you (you know booty call…Beauty call), however, the concept is still the same when you think about it…When you are in dire need of a little something, something, you get on the phone and call someone you can trust because they usually assist you in this extreme situation. They come to your house, deliver a fantastic service and when they leave, you are exceedingly happy!  Sephora has tapped into that concept and just transferred the concept to BEAUTY PRODUCTS!!!

Sephora has launched the first ever, Same day beauty service in Manhattan New York!  So ladies if you have a makeup emergency all you have to do is dial :1-877-Sephora between 8am and 11am, choose Same Day Beauty Delivery service and your makeup will delivered between 12pm and 9m that same day ($50 minimum order, $15 delivery charge). Deliveries are made in a stylish black-and-white Sephora branded Mini Cooper to add a little bit of luxury and class to your delivery. Brooklyn Decker helped Sephora launch  this great new service, at their  Sephora Flat Iron location.

I am so excited about this new Beauty call service and my only regret is that I didn’t think of it first! Way to go Sephora!
